Team of the Week: Waterloo Wild U14 Girls - Cataraqui Ambassador Cup Champions Jul 25, 2010

The Waterloo Wild Girls U14 Soccer Team won the 2010 Cataraqui Ambassador Cup Soccer Tournament held July 10-11. What made the teams accomplishment even more amazing is they played a year up in the U15 Division 1.

The team started off with a win against the host team Cataraqui Clippers (Lanz) by a score of 1-0. The team marched on to the tournament the final by winning their next 3 games: 3-0 over Glengarry, 6-0 over Quinte West and 3-0 against the Cataraqui Clippers (Arthur).

To win the tournment, the team had to defeat a team from Oakville who were undefeated in both league and tournament play up to that point. In that final game, the girls defeated Oakville by a score of 2-1. Congratulations to the Waterloo Wild U14 Girls!
