Volunteer Committee Coordinator - a Volunteer Position
    WMSC is committed to teaching, supporting and promoting the game of soccer by providing an exceptional environment to play the game at all levels. We consistently and passionately uphold the values of fair play, teamwork, and competition. We will do this through responsible leadership, good governance, and continuous improvement. We will provide safe, fun accessible programs that meet the needs of our members. Overall we endeavor to provide an unprecedented experience that inspires our members to become the very best that they can be.

WMSC is largely run by its many volunteers. The newly formed Volunteer Committee has been given the mandate of managing the volunteer program at WMSC. The Volunteer Committee Coordinator will work with the committee Chair and other members of the committee to develop a volunteer management system and carry out the various activities of the committee.

Initial areas of focus for the current year will be:
  • develop the requirements for the club’s volunteer management system and begin building out a volunteer management system for WMSC
  • plan and organize a volunteer recognition and appreciation evening for the fall of 2010
Other Job Functions
  • Develop a system for identifying the volunteer needs within the club
  • Develop program for recruiting of volunteers
  • Interview and match volunteers with appropriate assignments and provide orientation
  • Develop, implement and coordinate all volunteer recognition initiatives
