Outdoor 2013 Programme Outline

Please Note: Proof of age is required for all new soccer registrations. If you register on line, please submit to the office within 2 weeks of registration. Divisions highlighted in red are full. ALL PROGRAMS SUBJECT TO CHANGE a $20 administration fee will apply to all refunds and any programming changes.

U4 to U8 – ACTIVE START
At this introductory level, the objective is to get children moving and active. Emphasis on Fun!
SOCCER FUN U4/U5 (born 2008-09 mixed)
  • Co-ed
  • 45 min. sessions
  • Dates and Times:
    • Runs Saturdays May 4 to July 6
    • Time – Saturday Afternoons
  • Location: Bechtel Park
  • Parent Participation is required
  • Teach fundamental movement skills of running, hopping, kicking and throwing, as per LTPD
  • Cost: $130
SOCCER FUN (born 2007)
  • All Boy/Girl teams
  • 45 min sessions
  • Dates & Times
    • Saturday’s beginning at 8am
    • Runs Saturdays May 4 to July 6
  • Location: Bechtel Park
  • Game format: Play basic games of 3v3 (no goalie)
  • Continue to teach fundamental movement skills of running, hopping, kicking, throwing and add in stopping the ball, as per LTPD
  • Cost: $130
U7 to U8 FUNdamentals (born 2005 & 2006)
A stimulating learning environment that focuses on freedom and fun with the ball.
  • All boy/girl teams
  • Separate divisions for each birth year
  • 1 hour sessions
  • Dates and Times:
    • Girls Mon/Wed - 6pm or Tues/Thurs - 7:15pm
    • Boys Mon/Wed - 7:15pm or Tues/Thurs - 6pm
    • Season begins week of May 6th 
    • End of year one day festival DATE July 13
  • Locations: Bechtel/Lincoln/Eastbridge Gr.
  • Game format:
    • U7 – 4v4 games (no goalie/no referee)
    • U8 – 5v5 games (with goalie/no referee)
    • No league standings/scores kept
  • Encourage relay races with or without ball, basic passing & receiving games, shooting and overall body awareness, per LTPD
  • Cost: $190
U9 to U12 – LEARN TO TRAIN
Repetitions are important to develop technical excellence, but creating a fun and challenging environment is still essential for stimulating learning
U9/U10 SOCCER (born 2003/04)
  • All Boy/Girl teams
  • Combined age group
  • 1 hour sessions
  • Dates and Times:
    • Girls Mon/Wed – 7:15pm or Tues/Thurs - 6pm
    • Boys Mon/Wed - 6pm or Tues/Thurs – 7:15pm
    • Season begins week of May 6th
    • End of Season Tournament July 17-21
  • Locations: Old Oak/Pinebrook/Lincoln
  • Game format: 7v7 with goalie/referee
  • The small sided game environment is developmentally appropriate for our players
  • Cost: $190
U12 SOCCER (born 2001/02)
  • All Boy/Girl teams
  • Combined age group
  • Dates and Times:
    • Girls Mon/Wed at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Boys Tues/Thurs at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Your schedule will include both times.
    • Season begins week of May 6th
    • End of Season Tournaments July 22-27
  • Locations: Creekside/Waterloo Park W.
  • Game format: 9v9 with goalie/referee
  • The small sided game environment is developmentally appropriate for our players
  • Cost: $190
U13 & Above – SOCCER FOR LIFE
A fun and challenging environment to keep them interested and active in soccer where they play 11v11 soccer.
U14 SOCCER (born 1999/00)
  • Dates and Times:
    • Girls Tues/Thurs at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Boys Mon/Wed at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Your schedule will include both times.
    • Season begins week of May 6th
    • End of Season Tournament Aug. 7-11
  • Location: RIM
  • Cost: $190
U16 SOCCER (born 1997/98)
  • Dates & Times:
    • Girls Mon/Wed at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Boys Tues/Thurs at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Your schedule will include both times.
    • Season begins week of May 6th
    • End of Season Tournament July 24-28
  • Locations: RIM/Lexington S.
  • Cost: $190
U18 SOCCER (born 1995/96)
  • Dates & Times:
    • Girls Tues/Thurs at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Boys Mon/Wed at 6pm & 7:15pm
    • Your schedule will include both times.
    • Season begins week of May 6th
    • End of Season Tournament Aug. 7-11
  • Location: Northfield Pond
  • Cost: $190
SENIOR MEN/WOMEN (born 1994 & earlier)
Our recreational senior teams play in the SWRSL Soccer League. Travel required. Game day – Sundays.
  • Women’s Premier – coach Battista Congi
  • Women’s 3rd Div. – coach Andy Vann
  • Cost: $190
Additional Information
  • Shin Pads (mandatory), sport socks (must fully cover shin pads)
  • Running shoes are permitted for Soccer Fun only. All others require outdoor soccer shoes
  • No Item of Jewellery is permitted on the field.
  • Hard casts are not permitted.
  • All dates and times are subject to change
  • All fields are subject to change
  • Players may not play up a division from SF to U12
  • WMSC has a no teammate request policy
  • Please dress children appropriately. Games are cancelled for lightning only by convenor/referee.
